There’s something about stained glass at Christmas. The low winter sun comes through the window, catches the glass, and for a moment the whole room glows. If you’re looking for a gift that does that, here’s a little guide to the pieces in my shop, grouped by budget and by the people you might be buying for.
Everything here is designed and made by me, by hand, in my home studio in Stourbridge. No two pieces are exactly alike, which I think is the nicest thing about a handmade gift.

Little treasures, under £30
Small enough for a stocking, a Secret Santa or a “thinking of you”, and still made with exactly the same care as my biggest pieces.
Paw Print Suncatcher, £16

For the dog or cat lover in your life. Each paw print comes on a ribbon ready to hang and throws little splashes of colour across the room when the sun hits it. Choose from pink, purple, blue, green or orange, and match it to their pet, their favourite colour or their living room.
Butterfly Plant Stake, £16

For gardeners and houseplant collectors. A stained glass butterfly in blue, yellow, red or pink, on a stake that perches in a plant pot or a border. It brightens a windowsill through the winter, then goes out into the garden come spring.
Pink Butterfly Suncatcher, £26

A delicate pale pink butterfly on a detachable chain, so it can hang from a window, a lamp or a hook. Lovely for someone who likes soft, pretty things. There’s only one, so it won’t be around for long.
Gifts with a story, £30 to £100
Memorial Paw Print, £30

For someone who has lost a much-loved pet this year, the first Christmas can be a hard one. This suncatcher gives their paw print a pair of angel wings, and hangs in the light as a gentle reminder. I make each one with a lot of care.
Hedgehog Suncatcher, £30

Inspired by Bramble, my own African pygmy hedgehog. Small, round and a little bit prickly, in brown and cream glass. For animal lovers, or anyone who’d like a tiny companion on the windowsill.
Silly Goose Portrait, £35

For the friend who is, lovingly, a bit of a silly goose. A goose in her best pink scarf, sitting for a portrait in a wavy plum frame. It’s guaranteed to get a laugh when it’s unwrapped.
Cat and Butterfly Suncatcher, £60

For cat lovers. A cream cat nose to nose with a soft pink and white butterfly, on a square of deep berry glass that sparkles in the light.
Above the Clouds, Beneath the Stars, £90

For someone who loves sunrises and night skies equally. The sun rises over the clouds while the moon and a star keep watch below. It has a small cosmetic crack in one cloud, which is why it’s reduced.
Statement pieces, £100 and over
For a special person, a big birthday that falls near Christmas, or a gift to yourself after a long year.
Mermaid Mirror, £250

For the book lover, the sea dreamer, or anyone who’d rather live in a fantasy novel. Four iridescent seashells and shimmering teal and aqua glass circle a cobalt blue ring, and the glass shifts colour as the light moves. It’s finished and ready to post, and it’s a one-off.
Floral Copper Heart, £120

A heart of purple and red flowers on soft pink glass, framed in a copper-coloured finish. A romantic gift for a partner, or a lovely one for a mum or grandma. It’s made to order, so please allow around two weeks for me to make it before it’s posted.
Something made just for them
If none of these is quite right, I can make most of my designs in a different set of colours, or design something entirely new: a pet, a place, a favourite creature, a scene from a book they love. Have a look at my commissions page to see how it works.
